TheΒ FTII JET Stage 2 examΒ is scheduled to be conducted between September 26 and October 11, 2025, at the FTII Pune Campus.Β The Film and Television Institute of India announced the results for the FTII JET Stage 1 exam on September 13, 2025. Candidates who have their roll numbers in the List of Shortlisted candidates for Stage-2Β forΒ Film WingΒ and TV WingΒ can appear for the Stage 2 exam.

Once the Stage 2 exam is over, FTII will release a final merit list based on the results from the Stage 1 and Stage 2 exams. The FTII JET Stage 1 will have 30% weightage, and Stage 2 will have 70% weightage in the final result.

FTII JET Stage 2 Exam Pattern 2025

According to the official notice released by the Film and Television Institute of India, the FTII JET Stage 2 Exam will be a Mixed Format Assessment (Practical, Analytical, Performance & Interaction). The exam will be conducted in two formats:

  • Screenwriting
  • Screen Acting

The Screenwriting exam will be conducted in 2 batches, while the Screen Acting exam will be conducted in 6 batches.

FTII JET (Film and Television Institute of India Joint Entrance Test) consists of two stages:

Q: Β  What is the marking scheme for FTII JET?
A:

The FTII JET exam total marks are 100 marks. In Part A of Paper I: one mark is awarded to each right question and 0.25 is deducted on the wrong answer. In Part B of Paper I: two marks are awarded to each right question. However, the questions may have one or more right answers, so candidates need to select all the correct options, failing which they will be given partial marks. This part also has the provision of negative marking.

Q: Β  What is the marking scheme of FTII JET?
A:

The Paper-I of all the eligible appeared candidates is evaluated. On the basis of the performance in Paper-I, Paper-II (JET exam) is evaluated of only selected number of top scoring candidates (based on the respective category). The roll numbers of the candidates shortlisted for the evaluation of Paper-II, will be published on the website of JET. Further the shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview and orientation process.
