IIM Indore has extended the last date to pay CAT registration fee 2026. Candidates who already register before the September 22 deadline can pay the exam fee until Sep 24. There is no extension in last date for new registration for CAT 2026.
Last Date for CAT 2026 Registration Fee Payment
CAT 2026 registration fee payment deadline has been extended to September 24. Candidates who already fill the exam form on or before the Sep 22 deadline can pay the application fee until the extended window. Candidates can visit the IIM CAT website, iimcat.ac.in, to fill the online exam form, and pay the registration fee. Unreserved category candidates need to pay INR 2700 as the CAT registration fee. Reserved category candidates have to pay INR 1350 as the CAT 2026 registration fee.
IIM Indore will not facilitate any late fee registration window for CAT 2026 exam. Therefore, candidates must not miss the new registration deadline of Sep 22.

IIM Indore facilitated two links for CAT registration. Candidates who are yet to complete the one time registration have to use the 'New Registration' link. Whereas, candidates who have to complete the subsequent steps of the CAT registration fee payment must use the candidate login link available on CAT website.
CAT Registration Fee Payment Deadline Extended to Sep 24
Every candidate who completes their new registration until September 22 can use this extended CAT fee payment window. IIM Indore will only allow application fee payment until September 24.
Soon after the CAT 2026 registration fee payment window closes on September 24, candidates will be informed about the form correction facility. CAT 2026 correction window will be made available for all applicants in the first week of October. Candidates will be able to edit the uploaded documents and modify test city preferences using the CAT form correction dashboard. IIM Indore will not charge any processing fee for CAT form correction 2026. Candidates completing the registration successfully are to be issued CAT admit cards on November 5.

CAT is a speed-based test of analytical aptitude, logical reasoning skills, data interpretation and English comprehension. Now, it may sound tough, but these are the skills which we are taught in school so there is nothing new to learn. What is required is to learn these subjects at advanced level. If you are an average student but have studied Science or Commerce in Class-12 and graduation, you will find a lot of familiar topics in Data Interpretation, Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. All you will need is brush up the basics and practice the concepts on advanced-level problems.
However, since the competition is so high in CAT and less than 95 percentile can break your dream of joining a top college like IIM, the preparation for CAT requires a lot of focus, dedication, discipline and diligence. If you can do that, despite being an average student, you can crack the CAT exam.

The digital copy of the CAT admit card will not be accepted at the test centres as a valid document, thus you cannot show it, to gain entry. As per the official guidelines, only the colour print out of the admit card on A4 size sheet will be accepted as valid. Candidates must also affix a passport size photo, preferably the same as uploaded in the CAT application form.
The examination authority does not accept digital admit card as valid document as it is to be signed and stamped by the test centre staff for proof of candidate’s attendance. One copy of the CAT admit card of every candidate is also retained by the authorities, thus the need for the print out.
Yes CAT syllabus is difficult to crack if you do not have enough time. There are three subjects in CAT- VARC, DILR and Quantitative Aptitude. Most of candidates find RC passages tough to crack. In Quants, Arithmetic, Algebra and Geometry pose significant challenge during preparation. In DILR, Reasoning questions often turnout to be tricky and confusion.
