IIM Calcutta issues shortlisting criteria for PGP-PGDM course, batch 2015-2017

IIM Calcutta has issued the shortlisting criteria for PGP-PGDM candidates for 2015-2017 batch.

In the first stage, candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of CAT 2014 score, past academic performance and other factors. Women candidates will receive three points under gender diversity factor.

In the second and final stage, candidates will be selected on the basis of CAT 2014 Score, Personal Interview (PI), Writing Ability Test (WAT), Academic Diversity at Bachelor’s degree level, and Work Experience.

Here’s a complete explanation of the shortlisting process:

Stage 1: Short-listing for Personal Interview (PI)

Candidates will be short listed on the basis of CAT 2014 score, past academic performance, and other criteria provided below.

Candidates eligible to be considered for PI need to achieve the minimum section-wise and overall percentile in CAT 2014 as per Table 1 below:

Candidates securing the above mentioned minimum percentile in each category in CAT 2014 will be considered for Stage II.
The actual section-wise and overall percentile for short-listing candidates for PI may be much higher than the above mentioned minimum cut-offs.

Stage II: Composite Scores for PI shortlisting

Composite Score will be calculated on the basis of CAT score, Class X and Class XII aggregate percentages, and gender diversity factor.

“A cut-off of composite score is used for short-listing the number of candidates for PI stage in each category. The number of candidates short-listed for PI stage would be the discretion of the institute and would depend on the batch size of 2015-17,” informed the institute.
