K J Somaiya Institute of Management (KJSIM) has officially been designated as a Level 4 Transforming School in the seventh edition of the Positive Impact Rating (PIR) for Business Schools. This marks an advancement from the institute's Level 3 status achieved in the last edition of the ratings. Positive Impact Rating is a global, student and faculty-driven framework that evaluates business schools on their commitment to addressing sustainability and societal challenges. The PIR also takes into account the ability of an institute to prepare students to become responsible leaders. The 2026 edition featured 87 participating business schools across 32 countries. These ratings were based on a total of 19,789 valid student responses and 1,189 faculty responses globally.

KJSIM is among 58 business schools globally, and one of four leading Indian institutions, to receive the Level 4 recognition in 2026. According to the PIR framework, Level 4 Transforming Schools are recognised for successfully embedding a culture of positive impact within the system. Following the announcement, Dr. Raman Ramachandran, Dean and Director of KJSIM, stated that the recognition aligns with the school's core operating principle of "Transforming, Together". He shared that the institute will continue its institutional efforts toward achieving the highest PIR classification, the Level 5 status.
