Karnataka PGCET 2026 aspirants have been raising concerns over no-choice entry process after round 1 counselling. While several candidates have been protesting outside KEA office, some candidates have been raising their concerns over X with a hashtag #ReleaseChoiceEntry.
Karnataka PGCET round 1 seat allotment result was out with a change in the entire counselling procedure. The #ReleaseChoiceEntry social media campaign highlights ongoing concerns among Karnataka PGCET 2026 candidates who are seeking clarity from KEA regarding the choice entry schedule and process. This effort is an outrage after change in the KEA PGCET counselling process from the initial guidelines published in the admission brochure. Aspirants as well as mentors have been engaged in physical gatherings outside the KEA office and approached political representatives to seek relief and explanations. KEA has not yet published a fresh notification addressing the choice entry process.
Last date for fee payment by allotted candidates is set as October 7.
Why Are Karnataka PGCET Aspirants Demanding Choice Entry?
Aspirants are asking KEA to release the relevant notification addressing clarity on the Karnataka PGCET counselling process, including the round 2 allotment process. This comes as several candidates who have not been allotted seats, or those who are not satisfied with the round 1 allotment, were relying on the round 2 counselling process for admissions.
Karnataka PGCET choice entry allows candidates to accept, upgrade, or surrender allotted seats. With no choice entry in place, candidates allotted a seat are only left with an option to accept the seat.
Aspirants Continue to Protest Outside KEA Office & on X
Aspirants have been gathering outside the KEA office to raise concerns about the counselling process and demand clarity on the choice entry schedule. These gatherings involve candidates seeking direct answers regarding the delayed updates and changed counselling procedure.
Aspirants are also using X to make their demands visible to the authorities by tagging KEA and sharing updates using #ReleaseChoiceEntry.
What Has KEA Said on Karnataka PGCET Choice Entry?
KEA has not yet issued a notification on the choice entry process as of October 5, 2026. No official statement or revised schedule regarding the Karnataka PGCET choice entry has been published on the official portal at the time of writing. KEA has also not released an update on Karnataka PGCET round 2 counselling.
