Karnataka Examination Authority will soon start the Karnataka PGCET counselling process. KEA PGCET counselling starts soon after the document verification process is completed. KEA PGCET 2026 document verification stage for MTech, MArch, PwD (across all courses), and Ex-Defence quota applicants (across all courses) has concluded. KEA may or may not conduct a separate document verification process for remaining candidates seeking admission into MBA, MCA, and other postgraduate courses.
Karnataka PGCET Counselling 2026: Documents Required for Verification
Candidates participating in KEA document verification are required to present original certificates alongside a set of self-attested photocopies. Authorities verify candidate credentials directly against official records. The mandatory documents include:
- Karnataka PGCET printed application form, admit card (hall ticket), and scorecard
- SSLC/Class 10 marks card (for date-of-birth verification)
- PUC/Class 12 marks card
- Qualifying bachelor's degree marks cards for all semesters or years.
- Degree certificate or provisional degree certificate.
- Study certificate showing the requisite period of study in Karnataka, countersigned by the competent education authority (BEO/DDPI) where applicable.
- Valid Category, Caste, and Income certificates issued by competent Karnataka revenue authorities (for candidates claiming reservation quotas).
- Valid government-issued photo ID
- Recent passport-size photograph
Verification is held at designated KEA helpline centres across the state. Once the designated verification officer confirms all eligibility criteria and original records, eligible candidates are issued an official KEA Verification Slip, also known as a Karnataka PGCET claim slip. This document contains an acknowledgement receipt and a unique Secret Key required to access the central counselling portal.
