Karnataka PGCET 2026 Round 1 Counselling Statistics: 23164 Seats Allotted, 13590 Remain Vacant

KEA officially released the final seat allotment result for the first round of Karnataka PGCET 2026 admissions. The allotment covered seats for MBA, MCA, MTech, and MArch courses. A total of 13590 seats have remained vacant after the PGCET round 1 seat allotment.

With the release of KEA PGCET seat allotment results, an official announcement made by H. Prasanna, Executive Director of the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), at the social media platform, X. As per the announcement, a total of 23,164 seats have been allotted in the first round. Besides the total allotted seats, as many as 13,590 seats remain vacant in the first round of seat allotment. These vacant seats will be carried forward to the Karnataka PGCET round 2 seat allotment process.

KEA had initially published the provisional first-round seat allotment result on September 23, 2026. Candidates were given an opportunity to verify their provisional allotments and submit any objections until 4:00 PM on September 24, 2026. After the review and processing of the objections, the authority prepared and published the final first-round allotment list on September 25, 2026.

Karnataka PGCET Seat Allotment: Course-wise Seats

In total, the MBA programme accounted for the highest number of seat allocations at 11,462, while 2,195 MBA seats remain unallotted. The MCA discipline recorded 8,093 allotments, leaving 9,574 seats unfilled. For MTech programmes, 3,609 seats were allotted to eligible applicants, and 1,821 seats currently remain unallotted after the first round of allotment.

Regarding subsequent admission steps, Executive Director H. Prasanna confirmed that the official schedule for the Karnataka PGCET 2026 admission process will be announced in a day or two. Candidates who have been allotted seats in this round are advised to monitor the official KEA website for the forthcoming schedule detailing the next stages of the admission procedure.
