MAH MBA CET 2026 exam analysis and expected cut offs
MAH MBA CET 2026 Day 1 and Day 2 saw easy but lengthy papers. Day 3 of the exam's difficulty level was moderate. However, time consuming LR remained the common feature in all exam slots.
This year, the examination body has given candidates the option of attempting the exam twice. They can appear for Maharashtra MBA CET 2026 on April 6, 7, 8 and on May 9. However, candidates had to register for number of attempts and pay fee accordingly. Those who have registered for one attempt can take only one attempt. Those who have registered for 2 attempts of MAH CET 2026 have the choice of either attempting for both in April and May or only one test in either April or in May.
Since the MAH MBA CET 2026 exam is being conducted in two shifts on each day, the question paper of every set will have different set of questions. The marks will be normalized to calculate scores.

MAH MBA CET 2026 Analysis Day 1
The exam on Day 1 was easy but lengthy. Composition of MAH MBA CET 2026 question paper of both Shift 1 and 2 was same with no surprises. There were 4-5 RC passages with a total of 20 questions, rest of them were divided between Verbal Ability, Grammar and Vocabulary. Similarly, the Quantitative Aptitude section had maximum questions from Arithmetic. A lot of Quants questions were calculation intensive thus time taking. In the Logical Reasoning section, there were individual questions, with no traditional puzzles. Abstract Reasoning was easy.
MAH MBA CET 2026 Analysis Day 2
In the first shift of MAH MBA CET 2026 Day 2, the Logical Reasoning section of was the defining section. Not due to difficulty, but due to sheer length of individual questions. There were no traditionally asked puzzles of 5 questions each, slowing down even well prepared students. Abstract Reasoning section was one of the most scoring sections of the day, with the majority of questions being straightforward and several drawn directly from previous years’ papers. VARC in Shift 1 of today's MAH MBA CET 2026 question paper was easy to moderate, a manageable section for most candidates with solid fundamentals. Quants section had 2 DI sets and the remaining questions were spread across standard arithmetic topics Time, Speed and Distance, Time and Work, Profit and Loss, Mixture & Allegations, etc.
MAH MBA CET 2026 Analysis Day 3
MAH MBA CET 2026, Day 3 question paper was slightly different from Day 1 and Day 2, with difficulty level being moderate. While some sections remained straightforward, others, particularly Logical Reasoning, demanded more time and careful reading. Quant was arithmetic-heavy but calculation-intensive. Overall, the paper continued to be speed-driven, but with a noticeable increase in time pressure in LR and QA.

Candidates from outside Maharashtra state are also eligible for MAH CET CAP under the All India Seats category. The registration, exam and counselling processes for All India Seats category students are same as that of Maharashtra State category candidates.
MAH CET exam for MBA/MMS admission is a state level entrance test for candidates belonging to Maharashtra State. Since, the exam is conducted by the state government body its score is accepted by colleges and institutions affiliated to state universities only. Thus, one cannot apply for admission with MAH CET score outside Maharashtra.
