As per the previous year's trends, NMIMS second stage MBA admission process required candidates to appear for a competency test and a PI round at the designated centre. Candidates can expect NMIMS to release post NMAT dates along with the updated selection process within a week. In last session, NMIMS released the post NMAT dates on January 10.

NMAT 2025 exam was held from November 5 to December 19. Candidates who applied for NMIMS admissions via NMAT will soon find post NMAT dates 2026. NMIMS post NMAT dates are released on the official website, nmat.nmims.edu.

Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) conducted NMAT 2025 exam for admission to over 50 b-schools in India and Abroad. SVKMs NMIMS is among the primary colleges which NMAT test takers aim for. Soon after the NMAT exam concludes, NMIMS releases the post NMAT dates notifying the schedule for the selection rounds, including date for release of NMIMS PI calls and competence test. Shortlisted candidates are required to fill an application form to book slots for the selection rounds at NMIMS. Post NMAT dates 2026 will also indicate the schedule to book slots for selection rounds.

In the last session, NMIMS released the post NMAT dates on January 10. With the release of schedule, the registration process for NMIMS shortlisted candidates was to be started on January 18. Candidates can expect a similar trend in the current admission cycle as well.

NMIMS 2026 MBA Admission Process

Candidates will be shortlisted for NMIMS admission process based on their NMAT scores. SVKMs NMIMS will release the NMIMS shortlist and cutoff scores. Along with the NMIMS NMAT cutoffs, shortlisted candidates will be notified about the NMIMS selection criteria. If the past year's trends are followed, candidates will have to appear for a PI round and NMIMS competency test. Based on the cumulative scores, NMIMS will select candidates with the release of merit list.

Q:   Can I get direct admission at NMIMS Mumbai?

No, candidates seeking admission to Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies need to appear for the course specific entrance exams conducted by the University. NMIMS also accepts several national-level entrance tests to admits students for UG, PG and PhD courses. Students qualify the eligibility criteria set by the institute for the desired programme. 

Q:   What is meant by NMAT retake window?

GMAC conducts NMAT with a aspirant-first approach. Candidates can appear for NMAT three times during one exam session. That means, GMAC provides one main attempt and two retake attempts for the NMAT exam. The meaning of retake of the NMAT exam implies that any applicant can attempt the test thrice, including the first attempt. In other words, the process of reappearing for the exam is known as exam retake. Candidates aspiring for a retake attempt have to apply using the NMAT retake window. However, candidates can reappear for the exam, not before 15 days after the first attempt. Similarly, third exam attempt can only be scheduled on a date 15 days after the second attempt for NMAT exam.

NMIMS Mumbai admissions are a three-step process. Candidates are required to fulfil the minimum eligbility criteria to apply for the respective courses. Find below the detailed steps around NMIMS Mumbai admission process:

  1. Application Form: Eligible candidates have to register for the course-wise entrance exams such as NPAT, NLAT, etc., conducted by the university. To register for the respective courses, candidates have to fill an online application form along with paying the application fee.
  2. Selection Round: The university conducts various entrance exams to provide admission to respective courses. Candidates must qualify the exams with a valid score.  
  3. Fee Payment: Once all the selection rounds are completed, the university release merit list. The selected candidates have to pay a certain amount of fee to confirm their seats.
