Assam NEET UG Counselling 2026: Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam, has announced postponement of the 1st Round online counselling result for admission to State Quota MBBS and BDS seats in Government Medical and Dental Colleges. The decision comes after Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) extended Round 1 counselling schedule.

As per notice issued on August 23, 2026, Assam NEET result 3036 will remain postponed until further order. Candidates have been advised to keep checking official DME Assam website for latest updates. DME Assam stated that publication of the Round 1 online counselling result for State Quota admissions has been deferred due to the revised timeline announced by MCC, Government of India.

The postponed Assam NEET result applies to admissions into 1st Year MBBS and BDS courses offered by Government Medical and Dental Colleges across Assam under State Quota.

Why has Assam NEET UG result 2026 been postponed?

The postponement follows extension of NEET UG 2026 Round 1 counselling schedule by Medical Counselling Committee. Since national counselling timeline has been revised, several state counselling authorities, including Assam, are aligning their admission schedules accordingly. DME clarified that revised date for release State Quota seat allotment result will be announced later.
