Big NEET Update: Parliamentary Panel to Review NEET UG Exam Conduct & NMC Next Week; Here's What We Know So Far

NEET UG Latest News & Update: A high-level parliamentary panel will meet next week to evaluate the ongoing NEET UG exam row. The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Health and Family Welfare has scheduled this necessary discussion for July 16. During this meeting, lawmakers are likely to examine the NEET exam conduct review and inspect the overall structure of top health ministry regulators, including the National Medical Commission.
The NEET 2026 exam review will focus on the NMC regulatory role under the guidelines of the NMC Act 2019. Political leader Ram Gopal Yadav leads this important legislative committee. Reportedly, his team will evaluate the functioning under the Ministry of Health. Additionally, the panel will dedicate its July 15 session to discuss the affordability of public healthcare services.

Strict Action Against National Testing Agency
Lawmakers are likely to implement strict measures to permanently prevent NEET paper leaks controversy. The government previously cancelled the original NEET UG exam held on May 3 due to cheating allegations. The NEET 2026 re-test was later organised on June 21 for fair competition.
