Chhattisgarh PG Medical & Dental Stipend Hiked: First-Year Residents to Get Revised Stipend from Oct 1

The Chhattisgarh state government has announced an increase in the monthly stipend for postgraduate medical and dental students. Junior resident doctors working across all government institutions will get the increased stipend. According to the official order released by the state Medical Education Department, the new Chhattisgarh medical PG stipend rates will come into effect from October 1, 2026. The government finalised this revised stipend after reviewing a formal proposal submitted by the Directorate of Medical Education on August 13, 2026.
With this structural change, the state aims to ensure that postgraduate medical and dental students studying in the exact same year of their curriculum will receive a completely equal monthly stipend. This revision highlights an increase from the previous salary slabs across all categories of specialised medical trainees.
