The founding member of FAIMA (Federation of All India Medical Association) has highlighted that a medical college in Bangalore is collecting donations from candidates even before they qualified for NEET.

Dr Manish Jangra, the founding member of FAIMA (Federation of All India Medical Association) has pointed out on social media platforms that Sapthagiri Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre in Bengaluru is collecting donations from candidates who are not even NEET qualified.

His tweet reads, "These PG colleges are accumulating wealth by asking for donations from candidates who are not even qualified. How can someone guarantee admission when they are not even above the eligibility criteria. Very Serious Issue! @simsrcentre @DghsIndia @MoHFW_INDIA @NMC_IND @ANI"

Sapthagiri Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre letter to the candidate

As per the provisional letter by Sapthagiri Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre shared by Dr Manish Jangra the candidate is being reserved for PG-MD (General Medicine) course under management quota in the college for the academic year 2021-2022 even before the candidate has qualified for NEET.

The provisional letter reads, "This is to inform you that, the candidate is provisionally reserved to PG-MD (General Medicine) course under management quota in Sapthagiri Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Bangalore - 90, during the academic year 2021-2022."

"This provisional reservation/admission will be confirmed only if the candidate gets qualified in NEET examination secured rank and also pays the management quota fees at the time of admission fixed by the institute," added the letter.
