NTA has again opened the facility to fill in the Bank details for getting the NEET 2026 Fee Refund. The last date to fill such details is June 30. Candidates can also change their No refund option to get refund option. The NTA introduced OTP Based Two Factor Authentication for candidates.

The National Testing Agency has released a notice on its official site and the microblogging platform ‘X’ to provide the final opportunity to the candidates to updated their bank details to get the NEET Application fee refund.

As per the new timeline, the candidates can fill their Bank Account details till June 30 (till 11.55). The candidates are advised to fill and double-check their bank details because the NTA will not be responsible of refund in incorrect bank account.

Two-Factor Authentication

The NTA has started the OTP based Two Factor Authentication for login of the candidates so that only genuine persons can log in and get the NEET fee refund. The registered candidates will get the OTP on their registered mobile.

After the cancellation of NEET exam (conducted on May 3), the Union Education Minister announced that the NTA will refund the NEET Application/Exam fee to all the applicants. For this purpose, the NTA opened the facility to update the banking information from May 22 to 27

Later, the NTA extended the dates for updating the Banking information to get the fee refund to June 22. Now again, the NTA is providing the final opportunity to the candidates to update their bank account number and the IFSC code to get the fee refund.

Q:   Can I get AIIMS with 550 NEET scores?
A: 

The AIIMS accepts NEET scores for admission to the MBBS. Students need to obtain the NEET cut off percentile and scores to get shortlisted for counselling in AIIMS MBBS course. The NEET 2025 cutoff scores for generally category was 686-144. So, a general category student with 550 marks cannot take admissions to AIIMS.

Q:   What is the pattern of the NEET exam?
A: 

The NEET exam is conducted offline in pen and paper mode. The NEET exam pattern is as such-

  • There are 180 MCQs.
  • 45 are from Physics, 45 from Chemistry and 90 from Biology (Botany and Zoology). 
  • Each question is of 4 marks.
  • The total marks are 720.
  • The exam duration is 3 hours.

NTA mentioned in its notice that around 19 lakh candidates have filled and confirmed their Bank Account details but some of the candidates were unable to update their information due to technical glitches due to the heavy load on the website during the NEET re-exam admit card downloading phase.
NTA also received representations from candidates who opted for NO refund earlier and want to get a refund and change their option exercised during the earlier period.
