The controversy concerning two-shift pattern in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 is increasing among the medical fraternity. As per the latest update, new data highlighting the segregation of distribution of questions across various subjects in the exam is circulating over social media platform 'X', formerly Twitter. The data shared on the social media platform X shows a major variation in a number of questions from the Biochemistry, Pathology, Physiology and Anatomy programme in the last few years, especially since the introduction of two shift patterns in 2024.

Dr Jakir Khan, a Resident MD, has shared the number of questions asked in NEET PG in recent years. As per the data, the questions asked per subject in shift 1 and shift 2 examinations in the academic session 2024 have shown a major gap in subjects ike Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Community medicine, ENT, surgery and anatomy.

Students argued that inconsistency in a number of questions asked in NEET PG 2024 shifts raises concern about the transparent distribution of questions across all shifts. 

Students Demand Single Shift Examination

While no plan to change the NEET PG 2025 exam shift is expected from NBEMS, the protest from doctors across the country is escalating. Several doctors have claimed that due to a lack of time to allocate centres and ensure the examination process, the exam was conducted in two shifts. Doctors further stated that despite having allegations of irregularities and lack of transparency in the normalisation and marks calculation, the examination is being held in two shifts in academic session 2025.

Yes. NBE has released official notification for NEET PG 2025 exam date. The exam will be held on June 15, 2025. The exam will be held in two shifts. Earlier, there were reports of exam postponement in the wake of delay in previous session counselling schedule. But NBE put fullstop on these reports, providing clarity over NEET PG 2025 exam date. 

Q:   What is NEET PG 2025 exam date?

NEET PG 2025 exam date has been confirmed by NBE, i.e June 15, 2025. Candidates must note NEET PG 2025 dates and other crucial details will be released along with official information brochure. Candidates have to apply online to submit application form for NEET PG exam. NBE released NEET PG 2025 application form on its official website, nbe.edu.in on April 17 and candidates will have to submit it there only. Registration is mandatory to submit application for NEET PG.

Yes. NBE has confirmed NEET PG 2025 exam date, i.e June 15, 2025. In an official notification, NBE announced the exam will be held in two shifts. Earlier, there were reports, stating that exam date could be postponed as counselling of previous session was getting delayed. But NBE rejected the reports and confirmed that exam will be held as per the schedule provided earlier.
