NEET PG 2026 Answer Key Challenged in Supreme Court; Medicos Urge to Release Actual Questions & Answer Options

NEET PG 2026 Answer Key Controversy:  The National Board of Examinations (NBE) is currently in the spotlight following the controversy surrounding the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) evaluation. Reportedly, a new writ petition has been filed in the Supreme Court of India under Article 32 of the Constitution, challenging NBEMS over the NEET PG 2026 answer key release pattern. 

Candidates who appeared for the NEET PG 2026 exam state that the current verification system lacks transparency. They argue that the board’s evaluation format makes it impossible for them to cross-verify their responses and calculate their final marks.

NEET PG 2026 Latest News: Students Raise Transparency Concerns

The NEET PG 2026 answer key SC case comes right after the board published the NEET PG 2026 answer key and response sheet on October 1. While aspirants initially appreciated the release of the answer key, the answer key format left students confused. Medical aspirants found out that the board only provided random question IDs and numerical identifiers for the correct answers. Because the NEET PG 2026 response sheet lacks the actual questions and the shuffling order of options, students claim they cannot verify if their answers were mapped correctly.

Medicos Demand Proper Disclosure of Questions & Answers

The petition was filed by the Democratic Medical Association on behalf of medicos who took the NEET PG exam on August 30, 2026 and September 5, 2026. The association has challenged NBEMS NEET PG answer key 2026 and its notification, claiming that it hides the real questions. According to the petitioners, a student cannot independently check if the official NEET PG answer key 2026 has correctly mapped the question to its answer.

Will NBE Open NEET PG Answer Key 2026 Objection Window?

Along with requesting the text of questions and exact answers, the petition asks the Supreme Court to order the NBE to open the NEET PG answer key objection process. Currently, students do not have an answer key challenge window for doubtful answers before the counselling process begins. They have also requested an independent expert panel to review any challenged questions. This will ensure that students do not have any concerns regarding the transparency of the examination system.
