NEET SS counselling 2025 process is expected to begin again by June 1, 2026. The medical associations, i.e. FAIMA and FORDA, have shared on their official 'X' handle indicating the admission process will resume by this coming Monday. Recently, the Medical Counselling Committee has deferred NEET SS round 2 choice filling 2025 till further notice due to a Supreme Court case namely, Tamilvani & Ors. vs State of Tamil Nadu. The Apex court has to make a decision for "in-service seats" in Tamil Nadu in NEET SS counselling process. The field petition is whether these seats stay in the state quota or go into the All India Quota for the counselling round.

Sharing FORDA NEET SS counselling news on social media, the Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association (FORDA) stated that they held a crucial discussion with officials from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. According to their update, the counselling portal is on track to open very soon once a few final official steps are completed.
