NEET SS Counselling 2025: Round 2 Registration Reopens; MCC Announces Automatic Upgradation

MCC NEET SS round 2 counselling registration and reset registration process have started again. The NEET SS counselling 2025 round 2 registration last date is yet to be notified. 

The Medical Counselling Committee has started the NEET SS round 2 counselling registration 2026 and reset registration process. The NEET SS counselling 2025 round 2 registration last date is yet to be notified. The counselling process, which has been long delayed following the matter of Tamilvani & Ors. vs State of Tamil Nadu (W.P No. 415 of 2026) regarding reversion of in-service seats of Tamil Nadu to All India Quota pool has now started for all eligible and interested students. 

NEET SS Counselling 2025: Auto Upgradation in Round 2 

The Medical Counselling Committee has announced that there will be auto upgradation in NEET SS round 2 counselling process. All candidates, irrespective of whether they have given their willingness for upgradation in Round-1 or not, will be considered eligible for upgradation in Round-2. However, in case a candidate does not wish to upgrade, then their Round 1 seat will be retained.

"It is for the information to all candidates participating in Round-2 of SS Counselling 2025 that the Registration/ Reset Registration for Round 2 of NEET SS Counselling 2025 has been opened again and is available till further orders are received from the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the matter of Tamilvani & Ors. vs State of Tamil Nadu (W.P No. 415 of 2026) regarding reversion of in-service seats of Tamil Nadu to All India Quota pool. The notification reads. 

"Further, it is informed that there will be auto upgradation in Round-2. All candidates, irrespective of whether they have given willingness for upgradation in Round-1 or not, will be considered eligible for upgradation in Round-2. However, if any candidate does not want to upgrade from Round-1, he/ she may not fill choices for Round-2. In that case, the Round-1 seat will be retained," the notice reads further.
