NEET UG 2026: NTA asks candidates to update Aadhaar, UDID & other documents before registrations
NTA NEET UG 2026 application form will be released anytime soon. The NTA has asked candidates to update their aadhaar cards, UDID card and category certificate before taking NEET registration 2026. The NEET 2026 notification and information bulletin will be released soon.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an advisory asking candidates to get their documents updated before filling out the NEET UG 2026 application form. Students who want to take NEET registration 2026 should update their aadhaar cards, UDID card and category certificate now. The advisory has been issued to enable smooth application process without any discrepancies and grievances.
The agency has further stated that NEET aspirants should regularly visit the NTA websites- nta.ac.in and neet.nta.nic.in for notification regarding the NEET (UG) 2026 exam.
Updation of Documents for NEET Registration 2026
Candidates need to make sure that their documents are updated and valid. The documents that need updation are:
- Aadhaar Card: It should be accurate, valid and updated with these details-
- Name
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Photograph
- Address
- Biometric Information
- UDID Card for Persons with Disabilities (PwD)
- Category Certificate for EWS/ SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL
It may be noted here that the NTA will soon start the application process for the NEET 2026 exam. Candidates should keep their documents ready now.

The NEET 2026 registration process will start soon. The last date to complete the registration process will be a month after the commencement. Registration is the first step of application wherein candidates have to enter the basic details, validate the OTP and create password. In the NEET application process, candidates have to login with their credentials and then fill up the form, upload documents and pay the application fee of NEET 2026.
In general, the NEET application form is released two to three months prior to the exam date. Hence, if the exam is scheduled for the first week of May, the application form is released in February. The last date to submit the application form is generally a month after the release of the registration link. Last year, the NEET 2025 exam was held on May 4, 2024, and the application process started on February 7, 2025. In 2024, the NEET exam was held on May 5, 2024, and the application process began on February 9, 2024.
