NMC Approves 275 Additional MBBS Seats

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has reportedly approved the addition of 275 MBBS seats across medical colleges of Andhra Pradesh, Goa, and Jammu & Kashmir. The decision will benefit candidates who will participate in NEET counselling 2026 for admission to MBBS seats in the academic session 2026-27.

Details of 275 Additional MBBS Seats

The Commission has sanctioned the following MBBS seats for 2026-2027 academic session:

  • 100 more MBBS seats at Government Medical College in Piduguralla
  • 75 MBBS seats at Siddhartha Government Medical College in Vijayawada
  • 50 MBBS seats at Government Medical College, Goa
  • 50 MBBS seats at Government Medical College, Jammu

The approval of these seats has been issued by the Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) under the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, as per the sources.
