Odisha NEET UG Counselling 2026: Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Committee has released a notice for NEET UG 2026 qualified candidates belonging to Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) category who wish to participate in 85% State Quota MBBS/BDS counselling and admission process.

As per notification, all Odisha domicile candidates seeking admission under PwBD category must appear before Medical Assessment Board to obtain Eligibility Certificate. The certificate is mandatory for participation in upcoming Odisha NEET UG Counselling 2026 under PwBD category.

The notice has been issued following National Medical Commission (NMC) Guidelines on Assessment of Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) for Admission to MBBS Course, 2026.

Medical Assessment Board Visit Mandatory

Candidates holding a valid NEET UG 2026 rank and willing to get admission under PwBD category in MBBS/BDS courses offered by government and private medical colleges under Odisha State Quota must visit Medical Assessment Board at LT-II, SCB Medical College, Cuttack. During assessment, candidates will be required to submit these documents:

  • NEET UG 2026 scorecard proving eligibility for the MBBS course

  • Permanent Unique Disability ID (UDID) Card issued by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India

  • A self-certified affidavit declaring functional abilities in the format specified under Schedule-I

  • Self-Certification Affidavit (Appendix-A) and the disability-specific affidavit (Appendix-B to F) prescribed by the National Medical Commission

Eligibility Certificate to Be Issued After Verification

OJEE stated that Eligibility Certificate will be issued by Medical Assessment Board only after verifying disability details mentioned in candidate's UDID Card and affidavits. The certificate will be granted only if candidate fulfills eligibility criteria prescribed under NMC guidelines. This Eligibility Certificate will remain valid only for current academic session.

Only Recommended Candidates Can Opt for PwBD Seats

Candidates recommended by Medical Assessment Board will be allowed to exercise choices for PwBD seats during Odisha NEET UG Counselling 2026. If any one is found to have submitted a fake UDID Card or false affidavit, allotted seat will be cancelled immediately, and legal action will be initiated as per applicable rules.

OJEE to Announce Assessment Schedule Soon

The detailed schedule for Medical Assessment Board will be released separately on OJEE website. Candidates seeking admission through 15% All India Quota (AIQ) should follow notifications issued by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
