The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Committee has released the Odisha NEET UG Counselling 2026 schedule on the official website, odishajee.com. The round-wise dates cover registration, choice filling, and seat allotment for admission to MBBS and BDS courses under the 85% state quota for the 2026-27 academic session.
Candidates having Odisha Domicile/Nativity Certificate & qualified NEET UG 2026 can now register and proceed through the round-wise Counselling process.

Q:   Who conducts Odisha NEET UG counselling?
A: 

Odisha NEET UG counselling process is conducted by the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE). OJEE conducts the counselling process for the undergraduate medical courses, MBBS, BDS, BAMS and BHMS. It is the state counselling for the 85 per cent State Quota (SQ) seats of the Odisha state. Candidates who qualify for the NEET exam are eligible to participate in this state counselling. Even though OJEE is the counselling authority for Odisha NEET UG counselling, the process and rules are inclined as per the Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS). Odisha NEET UG Counselling is done by a Committee consisting of OJEE Chairman, OJEE Vice-Chairman, OJEE Secretary OJEE, and three Members  (Additional Director of DMET Odisha, and two other Members).

Q:   Will OJEE scores be accepted for Odisha NEET Counselling?
A: 

No, admissions to medical, dental, AYUSH and allied courses in Odisha are done on the basis of NEET scores only. Scores of OJEE or the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) will not be considered for medical or allied course admission. Hence, candidates seeking admission to medical and allied courses in the state of Odisha must have appeared, or plan to appear for NEET and qualify for the exam as well. Admission to Odisha NEET counselling will be done for 85 per cent state quota seats and is conducted by OJEE Counselling Committee.

Q:   What is the current scenario of the Odisha NEET counselling?
A: 

The registration process of the Odisha NEET Counselling 2025 Stray Vacancy Round was held from November 10 to November 11, 2025. The counselling schedule for this round was announced on the official portal. 

The round three counselling process was conducted from October 9 to November 8, 2025. 

There are very few chances of extension in the above dates and the candidates are advised to follow the above dates.

Odisha NEET Counselling Eligibility 2026

The OJEE mention various eligibility conditions for the candidates who are willing to fill the Odisha NEET UG Counselling registration form. The candidates must fulfil all the eligibility conditions to participate in the Odisha NEET Counselling.
1. The candidates must be of 17 years of age as on 31.12.2026, and there will be no upper age limit.
2. The candidates must be permanent natives of Odisha OR a child of All India Civil Service officers serving in the State of Odisha cadre.
3. Must have passed the 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology as subjects along with English as additional subjects 
4. The minimum qualifying mark for different categories of candidates in NEET UG are as follows:(subject to relevant notification/modification by Govt. of India/NMC)

  • General (GE) – (50th percentile) 
  • Physically Challenged (PwBD-GE) – (45th percentile)
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Scheduled Caste (SC)- (40th percentile).
  • Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC)- (50 th percentile)
  • For Person with Benchmark Disability candidate of SC/ST/SEBC category, (40th percentile).
  • For GE-EWS (Economically Weaker Section) Category - (50th percentile).
  • For GE-EWS & PwBD – (45th percentile)
