President Murmu Inaugurates Mahahyogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University in Gorakhpur
The Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University in Gorakhpur will also benefit 100 AYUSH colleges affiliated with the university to offer quality education in the Homoeopathy, Ayurveda, and Unani fields.
The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, inaugurated the Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University at Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. The university will offer a modern centre of rich Indian ancient tradition to the students.
President Murmu, while speaking on the occasion, highlighted the need for AYUSH University and how it has achieved a milestone in the development of medical education and services not only in Uttar Pradesh but in the entire country. She was pleased to see that the excellent amenities produced at the University are now offered to a broad number of individuals. Around 100 AYUSH colleges affiliated with this university benefit from its expertise.
The President also stated that serving the public at times requires sacrificing personal comfort. She complimented Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his persistent dedication to the well-being of the people of his state. She praised the accomplishments made in healthcare, education, and agriculture under his leadership and urged officials, medical professionals, and nurses to continue promoting the projects initiated by elected leaders.
The President also emphasised the significance of self-reflection, encouraging people to remember and uphold the personal commitments they made when choosing a vocation.
She further highlighted that the need to increase medicine based on the AYUSH system is increasing and Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath AYUSH University can play a major role in increasing the demand of the AYUSH system in India.
