NEET-PG is scheduled to be held on May 21

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has cleared the air over the suspense around the NEET-PG 2022 and has stated that the exam will be held as per the earlier announced date of May 21.

Thousands of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Post Graduate (PG) aspirants have been demanding the exam be postponed for two months as many of them are yet to complete their internship and the Counseling for NEET-PG 2021 has finished recently, thus giving little time for aspirants to prepare.

As per NBE, it will be conducting the NEET-PG 2022 on May 21, 2022, between (9 AM to 12:30 PM) in a computer-based mode across the country.

The admit cards shall be issued "batch-wise" shortly. Applicants for NEET-PG 2022 are advised to check their applicant login accounts on NEET-PG 2022 page at the NBEMS website https://natboard edu in and htlos://nbe.edu periodically for admit cards.

The NBE has stated that it does not send any email or SMS to candidates regarding securing good marks/merit positions in any of the exams conducted by NBEMS. “Candidates are advised not to be allured or mislead by unscrupulous agents Routs making such false and bogus claims,” reads NBEMS Notice.

NEET-PG Postponement demand

The NEET- PG aspirants have been demanding postponement of the examination as the counselling has just finished. On the other hand, more than 5000 medical interns are yet to complete their internship thus making them ineligible for the entrance test. The aspirants have stated that as many as 5000 interns from Kerala, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand will be ineligible to write the NEET PG due to a delay in the completion of their internship owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The NEET-PG 2021 ended on May 3 after a fresh mop-up round, thus leaving little time for aspirants to prepare.

While the NEET PG 2022 exam is scheduled to be held on May 21. The students have been demanding NEET PG 2022 exams be postponed by two months to provide sufficient time for the students to prepare for the exams and also provide an opportunity for the serving interns from the aforementioned five states to appear for the exam this year itself.

In its notice, NBEMS does not make any phone calls to any candidate or issue any communication regarding any unfair assistance during the exam in any of the exams conducted by NBEMS or for any other such thing which is against the provisions of law.
