Haryana Government Tuition Fees Waive Off: Giving relief to the girl students coming from economically weak families, the Haryana State Government announced waiver of tuition fees for girl students pursuing higher studies in colleges or universities of the state. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced the new rule for tuition fees levied by higher educational institutions, confirming waiver for girl-students who are pursuing post-graduation courses. The announcement comes as a major support for female students belonging to poor families to continue their post-graduate studies without facing any financial constraints.

Haryana CM also confirmed the news regarding the waiver of tuition fees for girl students who are pursuing their post-graduation in college and universities based in the state through his official Twitter handle. In a tweet, CMO Haryana confirmed that all girl-students belonging to underprivileged families will be able to take benefit of this decision. According to the official order, girl students who belong to a family whose overall family income is below 1.8 Lakhs per annum, from all sources, will qualify to take benefit of this scheme.

Girl students with annual family income less than Rs 1.80 lakh and pursuing post-graduation in government colleges and government-aided facilities of Haryana will not be charged tuition fees. An official letter in this regard has been forwarded by the Director-General of Higher Education Department, Haryana, to principals of all government and government-aided colleges in the state. Meanwhile, Chairman, Haryana Board of School Education, Bhiwani, Jagbir Singh said examination of classes nine and 11 will be conducted from 10 am to 12:30 pm in place of the earlier scheduled time of 8:30 am to 11 am. He said the examination of class 11 students be held from March 26 to April 23, and for Class 9, it will be from March 30 to April 17.
