Noida Educational Institutes: Guidelines issued for online classes
The District Magistrate of Gautam Buddh Nagar released guidelines for Universities and Colleges to enable the teaching-learning process through online mode.
Amid the fourth phase of COVID-19 lockdown in order to control the virus spread, the district administration of Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Buddh Nagar issued guidelines to impart education by conducting online classes in various educational institutes. On May 20, District Magistrate Suhas L.Y. released the guidelines on social media so that the colleges and universities could begin the teaching-learning process and prevent academic loss.
The District Magistrate tweeted the guidelines through his official Twitter handle stating, “Guidelines for educational institutions regarding online learning.”
The guidelines talk about the conduct of the teaching-learning process and the norms the Universities and Colleges have to follow in order to impart education via online mode. According to the guidelines, ‘No higher educational institution can allow the movement of students on the campus. Teachers and administrators can take online classes. Faculty members, researchers, non-teaching staff and managerial staff will be allowed to visit educational institutions. But no more than 33 percent of the staff will be present in a day in the educational institution’. To maintain the social distancing norms, only 33 percent of the total staff is allowed inside the educational institution in a day. The notice directs all the staff members both teaching and non-teaching to religiously follow the precautionary laid down by the Health Ministry to control the novel coronavirus spread.
It further stated, “Employees of the educational institution residing within the district shall not require any pass from their home to the institute. However, to go to work from home, one has to carry the identity card of the concerned institution. At the same time, it will be necessary to follow the general rules while traveling.”
