GD Goenka University has introduced a four-year full-time BSc Nursing programme in association with Paras Health. The programme will be provided by the School of Healthcare and Allied Science department. The BSc Nursing programme at GDGU aims to offer academic rigour with clinical experience to develop quality healthcare professionals for the next generation.
The course follows the Haryana Nurses and Nurse-Midwives Council (HNC) standards and aims to prepare students for a variety of healthcare settings. Paras Health, a premier tertiary care institution with over 18 years of expertise and an established network in North India, will serve as the clinical training provider. Students will receive hands-on training in a variety of medical disciplines at Paras Health's network of hospitals.
GD Goenka University BSc Nursing Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission to the BSc Nursing programme, students must be at least 17 years old by December 31 of the year they enrol for the programme. Candidate should have completed 10+2 with Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English, with at least 45% scores from a recognised board such as CBSE, ICSE, or an equivalent.
Those taking the 10+2 Science test through the National Institute of Open Schooling may also apply if they fulfil the necessary requirements and are medically fit. The programme also provides opportunities to specialise in fields such as child care, mental health, acute care, and cancer care. Students can also further study with additional degrees such as a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
