Directorate of Education, Government of NCT of Delhi, released an official notification regarding the ‘Extension of per Child Expenditure Rate for Reimbursement Purpose up to Academic Session 2020-21 under RTE Act 2009’. The notice states that the department has extended the per-child expenditure rate for reimbursement purposes up to the end of academic session 2020-21. The notice also stated clearly that there is no change in all the other conditions related to this reimbursement.

The official notice released by the department reads, “The Per Child Expenditure Rate approved by Finance Department. Govt of NCT of Delhi for the academic year 2018-19 & 2019-20 adopted for giving reimbursement to private Unaided Recognised Schools of DoE and Local Bodies towards admission of EWS/DG category students u/s 12(IRC)& 12(2) of RIE Act stands extended up to the end of academic session 2020-21. All other conditions relating to reimbursement remain unchanged. The details of the rates approved (U.O No.DSF-V/19 dated 02/07/2018) for 2018-19 & 2019-20 are as under.”

The notice also informed that the tuition fee and all other fees including all recurring expenditure components such as textbook, writing material, etc. or actual expenditure whichever is less would be Rs 26,908 (Per Annum/ Student) and 2,242 (Per Month/ Student) for nursery to class 5. Meanwhile, for Class 6 to Class 8, it is Rs 26, 708 (Per Annum/Student) and Rs 2,225 (Per Month/ Student).

Talking about the uniform rates or actual expenditure (whichever is less), the notice stated that for nursery to Class 5, it will be Rs 1,100 (Per Annum/Student) and for Class 6 to Class 8, it will be Rs 1,400 (Per Annum/Student).
