CTET 2025 Exam Notification

Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to release 21st notification for Central Teacher Eligibility Test July 2025 anytime soon. According to some media reports, CTET exam notification pdf is likely to be released in August. However, board is yet to confirm exact date and time for notification. Once released, candidates can download CTET exam notification online at official website: ctet.nic.in. Along with notification,  application form will also be released. Exam is conducted for two papers Paper 1 and Paper 2. CTET Paper 1 is for candidates aspiring to teach Classes 1 to 5 while Paper 2 is for those willing to teach Classes 6 to 8.

What is CTET 2025 Eligibility?

To appear for CTET exam candidates must meet eligibility related to educational qualifications and age. Detailed eligibility have been provided based on last years notification.

CTET Eligibility 2025 Paper 1

Candidates must meet any one of these conditions 
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks, and have completed or are appearing in the final year of a 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks, and have completed or are appearing in the final year of a 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks, and have completed or are appearing in the final year of a 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education degree.
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks, and have completed or are appearing in the final year of a 2 year Diploma in Education.
  • Bachelor’s degree along with a Bachelor of Education degree.

CTET Eligibility 2025 Paper 2

Candidates must satisfy any one of these conditions
  • Graduation and have passed or are appearing in final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and have completed or are appearing in final year of BEd program.
  • Graduation with at least 40% marks and have completed or are appearing in final year of BEd program, as per NCTE norms.
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and have completed or are appearing in final year of a 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education degree.
  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and have completed or are appearing in final year of B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed or B.A/B.Sc.Ed.
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and have completed or are appearing in a 1 year BEd program.

The CTET passing marks for the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories is 55 per cent. The SSC & ST categories candidates need to obtain 82 out of the total 150 marks to qualify the exam and obtain the eligibility Certificate.
