CTET 2025 Exam Notification Releases Soon; Check eligibility criteria

CTET 2025 Notification: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the 21st notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) July 2025 anytime soon now. According to some media reports, the CTET exam 2025 notification pdf is likely to be released in August. However, the board is yet to confirm the exact date and time for CTET 2025 notification. Once released, candidates can download the CTET exam notification online at the official website: ctet.nic.in. Along with the CTET notification, the application form will also be released. The CTET exam is conducted for two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. CTET Paper 1 is for candidates aspiring to teach Classes 1 to 5 (Primary Level), while Paper 2 is for those aiming to teach Classes 6 to 8 (Elementary Level).
What is the CTET 2025 Eligibility Criteria?
CTET Eligibility 2025: Paper 1
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks, and have completed or are appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks, and have completed or are appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (as per certain guidelines).
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks, and have completed or are appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education degree.
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks, and have completed or are appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education.
- Bachelor’s degree along with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree.
CTET Eligibility 2025: Paper 2
- Graduation and have passed or are appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and have completed or are appearing in the final year of a B.Ed program.
- Graduation with at least 40% marks and have completed or are appearing in the final year of a B.Ed program, as per NCTE norms.
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks, and have completed or are appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education degree.
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks, and have completed or are appearing in the final year of B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed or B.A/B.Sc.Ed.
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and have completed or are appearing in a 1-year B.Ed program.
