CTET 2025 Exam Notification Releases Soon

CTET 2025 Notification: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the 21st notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) July 2025 anytime soon now. According to some media reports, the CTET exam 2025 notification pdf is likely to be released in August. However, the board is yet to confirm the exact date and time for CTET 2025 notification. Once released, candidates can download the CTET exam notification online at the official website: ctet.nic.in. Along with the CTET notification, the application form will also be released. The CTET exam is conducted for two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. CTET Paper 1 is for candidates aspiring to teach Classes 1 to 5 (Primary Level), while Paper 2 is for those aiming to teach Classes 6 to 8 (Elementary Level).

What is the CTET 2025 Eligibility Criteria?

To appear for the CTET exam, candidates must meet the specified eligibility requirements related to educational qualifications and age. The detailed eligibility criteria of CTET 2025 have been provided below based on last year’s notification.

CTET Eligibility 2025: Paper 1

Candidates must meet any one of the following conditions to be eligible for CTET Paper 1:
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks, and have completed or are appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks, and have completed or are appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (as per certain guidelines).
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks, and have completed or are appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education degree.
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks, and have completed or are appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education.
  • Bachelor’s degree along with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree.

CTET Eligibility 2025: Paper 2

Candidates must satisfy any one of the following conditions to be eligible for Paper 2:
  • Graduation and have passed or are appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and have completed or are appearing in the final year of a B.Ed program.
  • Graduation with at least 40% marks and have completed or are appearing in the final year of a B.Ed program, as per NCTE norms.
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks, and have completed or are appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education degree.
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks, and have completed or are appearing in the final year of B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed or B.A/B.Sc.Ed.
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and have completed or are appearing in a 1-year B.Ed program.

Q:   How can I apply for CTET exam?

Candidates can fill the CTET online form by following the given steps.

  • Visit the official website- ctet.nic.in.
  • Click on Apply for CTET link.
  • For new users, click on the "New Registration" button to register yourself. If not, enter your information and click the "Sign In" button.
  • Fill in the required credentials like the candidate's name, mother's name, father's name, date of birth, etc.
  • Choose the exam centre and medium of instruction
  • Enter your Aadhar card number or PAN, choose gender and category, select the status of employment, and fill in the status of the qualifying exam.
  • Now fill out the educational details. Enter your communication address, phone number, and email address.
  • Upload a photo and your signature.
  • Now the page will redirect to the payment.
  • Make payment through Credit Card/Debit Card/E-Challan Click the "Submit" button.
  • Take a printout of the confirmation page for your records.
Q:   What are CTET passing marks for the SC and ST categories?
A:
The CTET passing marks for the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories is 55 per cent. The SSC & ST categories candidates need to obtain 82 out of the total 150 marks to qualify the exam and obtain the eligibility Certificate.
