CTET 2026 Day 1 Exam Today: Check Shift Timings, Reporting Time & Dress Code
CTET Day 1 exam 2026 is being held today in two shifts. Candidates should check their CTET February shift timings and reporting time and follow guidelines when appearing for exam.
CTET Day 1 Exm 2026: Central Board of Secondary Education is conducting Central Teacher Eligibility Test today February 7, with thousands of candidates appearing on day 1. Candidates are advised to check their CTET admit cards for exam shift, reporting time and important instructions. They also need to carry CTET 2026 admit card along with a valid ID proof to exam centre. CTET exam hall will be opened at 7:30 am for Paper II morning and at 12:30 pm for Paper I evening, 120 minutes before the commencement of exam. During exam, candidates, without special permission from invigilator, must not leave their seats or exam hall until paper gets over. In CTET 2026, there will be a total of 150 question in the form of MCQs in both Paper 1 and Paper 2.

Reporting Time at CTET Exam Centre
CBSE has instructed candidates to report early at exam centre. They must note that late entry is not permitted. Candidates must reach centre at least 90 to 120 minutes before exam starts to complete security checks and biometric verification.

Dress Code Guidelines for CTET 2026
CBSE has not prescribed any dress code. However, for smooth frisking and security checks, candidates must
- Wear light clothes with half sleeves
- Avoid jackets, hoodies or heavy garments
- Avoid wearing shoes, they should wear slippers or sandals
- No metallic items, jewellery, watches or accessories are allowed
Important Instructions for CTET Candidates
- Carry a printed copy of CTET 2026 admit card
- Bring valid photo ID proof Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID, etc
- Follow all instructions given by exam centre staff
- Do not carry items such as mobile phones, calculators or smart watches
- CBSE has urged candidates to remain calm and follow guidelines
