The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a one-time application completion facility for candidates who initiated the registration process for the 21st edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) February 2026 but could not submit their forms.

As per the official press release issued by CBSE, CTET February 2026 online application process was conducted from November 27 to December 18, 2025 (11:59 PM). During this period, a total of 25,30,581 candidates successfully submitted their applications.

CBSE data shows that 3,53,218 candidates applied on the second last day, while 4,14,981 applications were submitted on the final day of the registration process.

Over 1.61 lakh registrations found incomplete

Following the closure of the application window, CBSE received grievances from candidates who were unable to complete the submission. A review of the application data revealed that 1,61,127 registrations remained incomplete and were not converted into final submitted applications.

Considering that CTET is being conducted after a gap of nearly one year, the Board stated that it has taken a sympathetic view of the matter.

CTET 2026- One-time completion window: December 27–30

CBSE has decided to allow these candidates a one-time opportunity to complete their applications on the CTET portal. The special facility will be available from:

  • December 27, 2025 (11:00 AM)
  • December 30, 2025 (11:59 PM)
  • Only candidates who had already initiated the CTET registration process will be eligible to access this window.
  • No fresh registrations, no further corrections

The Board has clarified that:

  • No fresh registrations will be permitted during this period
  • Candidates must verify their details and make necessary corrections before final submission
  • No further opportunity for correction of particulars will be provided after the window closes
