IBPS PO 2025: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is conducting the IBPS PO prelims exam on August 17, 23, and 24, 2025, in four shifts each day. The IBPS PO prelims is a 1-hour objective test for 100 marks, comprising three sections: English (30 questions, 30 marks), Quantitative Aptitude (35 questions, 35 marks), and Reasoning Ability (35 questions, 35 marks). Candidates appearing for the IBPS PO Prelims on Saturday, August 23, 2025, should go through the checklist of required documents and exam day guidelines.

Must-carry Documents on IBPS PO 2025 Prelims Exam

Candidates appearing for the IBPS PO prelims exam must carry the following documents:

  • Printed IBPS PO Prelims Call Letter/Admit Card. Carry a hard copy (digital copies aren’t accepted). Paste the same passport-size photo as used in the application
  • Valid Photo ID: Accepted IDs include Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, Voter ID, Driving Licence (name must match the call letter).
  • Passport-size Photographs: Carry extra photos (the same as on the admit card)
  • Scribe Documents (If applicable): Candidates using a scribe must carry the scribe declaration/undertaking

IBPS PO 2025 Prelims Centre-level Guidelines

Candidates must follow the guidelines:

  • Reach early, 60 minutes before the shift, to clear frisking and biometric/photo capture smoothly
  • Follow the invigilator's instructions on signing attendance, using rough sheets, and returning them
  • Don’t bring banned items or rely on lockers (most centres don’t provide storage)
  • Don’t write anything on the IBPS PO admit card other than what’s instructed

IBPS PO exam dates are announced along with the notification. The exam dates announced by the examination authority are considered as final and cannot be rescheduled. IBPS reserves the right to change the exam date of IBPS PO. The exam is conducted in three phases-prelims, Mains and interview. The prelims and Mains exams are conducted in multiple shifts. The details regarding IBPS PO exam dates and shift timings are mentioned in the admit card.

IBPS PO prelims exam is conducted in four shifts -9 am to 10 am, 11.30 am to 12.30 pm, 2 pm to 3 pm, and 4 pm to 5 pm. IBPS PO Mains exam is conducted in two shifts- 9 am to 12.30 pm and 2 pm to 5.30 pm. The shift timings of the prelims and Mains exams are mentioned on the admit card. Candidates need to appear for the exam as per their shift timings. Candidates reporting late to the exam centre will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.
