Mastermind of Uttarakhand SSC paper leak held, taken for questioning
The paper leak has triggered anger among students and job aspirants in the state. On Sunday students held protests state capital Dehradun and other parts.
Uttarakhand Police has caught Khalid Mohammad, the main accused in the Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) paper leak case. As per reports, Police has taken him to an undisclosed location for further questioning.
Khalid Mohammad’s name had come up as the mastermind in the UKSSSC scam. Earlier reports had also said that he sent his own sister behind bars in connection with the case. Police believe he played the key role in leaking the exam papers and running the entire racket.
The paper leak has triggered anger among students and job aspirants in the state. On Sunday students held protests state capital Dehradun and other parts. To control the situation, the district administration imposed Section 144 in parts of the city to stop gatherings.
This is not the first time Uttarakhand has faced such an exam scandal. In the past too, several recruitment exams were cancelled after irregularities were found. Aspirants are demanding strict punishment for those involved and stronger steps to stop paper leaks in future.
As per Dehradun Police sources the questioning of Khalid Mohammad will help them identify more culprits linked to the scam. more arrests are likely in the coming days linked to this alleged paper leak case.
