Railway Recruitment Board conducts Railway NTPC UG exam for posts such as Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Trains Clerk and Commercial cum Ticket Clerk.

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRBs) has released application form for Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) posts. Under this, RRB is going to fill around 8800 vacant posts of Non-Technical Popular Categories, including undergraduate-level posts and graduate-level posts across different Zonal Railways Boards of Indian Railways.

Earlier last week, Railway Recruitment Board (RRBs) issued notification for official RRN NTPC 2025 for posts of Non-Technical Popular Categories- Graduate level posts and the registration began from October 21, October 2025.

RRB NTPC UG 2025 Exam

Railway Recruitment Board conducts Railway NTPC UG exam for posts such as Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Trains Clerk and Commercial cum Ticket Clerk. The number of vacancies to be filled under each posts are more than 1500, 800, 200 plus and around 945 respectively under each post mentioned earlier, respectively.

RRB NTPC- UG Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for recruitment under RRB NTPC UG requires a candidate should be an Indian citizen who has passed Class 12th or or equivalent from a recognized central or state board. The age limit is 18–30 years (as of the notification date; there are relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/PwD categories up to 5–10 years).

Other requirements include proficiency in English/Hindi typing for some posts; no prior experience required.

Exam Pattern and Stages

The selection process involves multiple stages like other RRB exam, comprising of Computer Based Test (CBT1 &2), which will have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and the duration of the exam is 90 minutes. Candidates must note that 1/3 mark is deducted for wrong answers.

This is followed by Typing Skill Test (for clerical posts) and then document verification of candidates is done while is followed by Medical Examination, which is the final stage of RRB NTPC UG exam.
