The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has finally announced the SSC GD 2026 exam schedule or new exam date on April 11 at ssc.gov.in. As per the official notice, the SSC Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2026 will be conducted from April 27 and will end on May 30 at various centres across the country. The exam will be conducted in four phases.
Also to streamline the process of examination, the authority will provide an option to exercise 'preference for weeks' to the candidates appearing in the examination. Under this facility, candidates will be required to log in to their respective accounts on the designated portal using their credentials and indicate their preferences for the examination windows. The facility for submission of examination week preferences is made available to candidates from April 11 (3 pm) to April 15 (5 pm). Scroll down for more details.
