UGC NET Re-Exam Dates 2026
UGC NET 2026 Re-Exam: National Testing Agency will conduct re-exam for UGC NET June English and Commerce papers on September 9, 2026. The decision to re-conduct two papers was taken after expert committee reviewed complaints regarding errors and irregularities in UGC NET question papers. Further, UGC NET Sociology paper will be re-conducted separately on September 10, 2026.
UGC NET June 2026 exam was originally conducted from June 22 to 30 across 87 subjects. After complaints received from candidates, NTA constituted a committee to examine question papers of English, Commerce and Sociology. They found several factual, typographical, translation and grammatical errors, along with repetition of questions from previous examinations.

No Additional Fee for UGC NET 2026 Re-Exam
Candidates who are appearing for UGC NET re-exam of English, Commerce and Sociology will not have to pay any additional exam fee. ThIS re-conduct is being organised by NTA as a fresh examination for affected candidates.
UGC NET Re-Exam Admit Card 2026
NTA will release separate exam city information, centre details and UGC NET admit cards for candidates appearing in re-exam. They can check official UGC NET and NTA websites for updates regarding release of admit card and intimation slip. UGC NET 2026 admit card is expected to have details of candidate's examination centre, reporting time, examination date and other instructions.
UGC NET June 2026 Result for Other Subjects
UGC NET re-examination is being held only for English, Commerce and Sociology. NTA has processed results for other 84 subjects separately. UGC NET 2026 results for 84 subjects were declared on August 28, 2026. Also, results of three affected subjects will be processed after their respective re-exams.
