UGC NET 2025 Exam: National Testing Agency is conducting last exam of UGC NET December session today. As per schedule, in shift 1 (9 AM to 12 PM), the following papers are being held: Economics (incl. allied fields), Management, Public Administration, Population Studies, Linguistics, Buddhist/Jaina/Gandhian/Peace Studies, Pali, Ayurveda, Biology.
Whereas in shift 2 (3 to 6 PM) of UGC NET 2025, these subjects are conducted Environmental Sciences, Home Science, Performing Arts (Dance/Drama/Theatre), Music, Electronic Science, Labour Welfare/HRM, Marathi, Physical Education. Candidates appearing for exam are required to report to exam centre along with admit cards.

What After UGC NET 2025 Exam gets Over?
With the final exam scheduled today, these events are expected soon
- Release of UGC NET Answer Key: NTA is likely to release provisional UGC NET answer key within a week after exam gets over. Candidates will be given opportunity to raise objections, if any.
- UGC NET 2025 Result will be announced.
- Cut-off & Qualification Criteria: Candidates must obtain minimum qualifying marks (40% for general category, 35% for reserved categories) to be considered for Assistant Professor and/or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) eligibility.
The NTA released the UGC NET 2025 exam schedule for the December session at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. On December 31 was the first exam in the first shift from 9 am to 12 pm. Subjects are listed below:
