Union Public Service Commission will conduct Combined Defence Services Examination 2 on September 14 2025. Admit card has already been released for all registered candidates. They can download CDS 2 admit card online at official website upsc.gov.in. After downloading CDS admit card they must go through important instructions mentioned on it.
Important Instructions for CDS 2 2025 Exam Day
Here are some important instructions and guidelines that candidates can check
CDS 2 Admit Card and Valid ID Proof
- Carry printed copy of admit card.
- Bring valid photo identity proof Aadhaar card or PAN card or voter ID or passport or driving license.
CDS Reporting Time and Entry Rules
- Candidates should report to exam venue before reporting time.
- No entry will be allowed after gate closing time.
- Latecomers will not be permitted.
UPSC CDS Dress Code
No specific uniform is prescribed for CDS written test but candidates must follow exam dress code guidelines
- Wear simple and comfortable clothes.
- Avoid flashy or heavy accessories.
- Do not wear smart watches or jewellery or metallic objects or caps.
- Wear slippers or sandals with low heels instead of shoes.
Items Permitted and Prohibited at CDS 2 Exam Centre
- Carry only essential stationery items black ballpoint pens, admit card and ID proof.
- Electronic devices or any digital gadgets are prohibited.
- Bags and valuables should be avoided as there may not be secure arrangements at venue.

Yes, the CDS 2 application last date to apply was extended to June 20 from June 17, 2025. A one-time extension was provided by the commission. The application correction window was opened from July 7 to July 9, 2025.
UPSC released the final merit list for the CDS 2 2024. A total of 574 candidates comprising 510 men and 64 women qualified for admission to the OTA, Chennai.
