UPSC ESE 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a notice for all candidates who have qualified the UPSC ESE Main exam 2025, conducted on August 10, and the results were declared on September 4. All the candidates who have qualified the mains exam must update their UPSC ESE Detailed Application Form (DAF) online to be eligible to appear for the Personality Test/Interview.
The UPSC ESE 2025 DAF update window will close today, September 26. Candidates must update their personal details and upload proof of passing the requisite qualifying exam. They can also modify their correspondence address, higher qualifications, achievements, employment details, and service preferences during this period.

It is mandatory to update the details online via the UPSC portal: upsconline.gov.in. If any candidates fail to update the UPSC ESE 2025 DAF and upload the necessary documents then their candidature will be cancelled. The details submitted till today will be final, and no further requests for changes will be entertained via any other mode.
Qualified candidates must log in using their One Time Registration (OTR) credentials to access the application portal. They must complete the necessary updates soon to be eligible for UPSC ESE Personality Test.

The Commission will release the UPSC ESE 2026 Mains exam schedule on the official website at upsc.gov.in. Candidates who have will cleare the Prelims exam will be eligible to appear for the Mains exam on June 21, 2026. The schedule of the Mains exam once released will also be mentioned here:
The UPSC released the calendar for the year 2026 on the official website. The UPSC IES prelims 2026 notification and application was released on September 26, 2025 and the last date to apply was October 16, 2025. The IES prelims exam will be conducted on February 8, 2026. On the other hand, UPSC IES 2026 Mains exam will be conducted on June 21, 2026.

The Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination will consist of two objective type (multiple choices) questions papers and carrying a maximum of 500 marks.
Paper I: 200 Marks
Paper II: 300 Marks.
Each correct answer is awarded two marks. One-third marks deducted for each wrong answers.
Only those candidates who are declared by the Commission to have qualified in the Preliminary Examination in the year will be eligible for admission to the Mains Examination.
