As per the students, the GAT paper of NDA was Moderate in difficulty level. The GAT paper in NDA 1 Exam 2026 are estimated to be around 80 to 100 questions. 

As per the students feedback, the GAT paper was Moderate in difficulty level. The English section was a bit easier where as General Knowledge section was a mic easy as well as moderate with some tricky questions.

As per the feedback of the students', questions are asked from limits, mean observation based, integration, Differential equation, applications, trignometry, complex number, height & distance, probability, permutation & combination, maxima and minima, AP, GP, etc.

The NDA 1 exam 2026 for the Maths paper good attempts are estimated to be around 55 to 65 questions, based on the initial student reactions. 

In NDA 1 2026 Maths paper questions were asked from trigonometry, matrices, straight line, directions, determinants, Curve equation, application of integrals, properties based, limit based question, differential equation, etc. Therefore, we can say that the level of the question is not much tough. It was moderate.

As per the student reactions, the NDA 1 2026 maths exam overall difficulty level was Moderate. Candidates attempt around 100. Question paper pattern is same. 10 to 15% questions were lengthy. Around 40% questions were based on the previous year.

Use of normal or simple wrist watch by candidates is allowed inside the examination hall. However, use of watches fitted with any special accessory that might be used as communication device or smartwatch is strictly prohibited and candidates are not allowed to take such watches into the Examination Rooms/Halls.

Candidate should not bring or use any mobile phone, pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device or storage media like pen drive, smart watches, etc., or camera or Bluetooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories, either in working or switched off mode, capable of being used as a communication device during the examination

The GAT section carries 600 marks while the Mathematics section carries 300 marks.

The overall difficulty levels of Maths and GAT papers are expected to be moderate.

NDA 1 answer key 2026 will be released after the exam is over for Maths and GAT.

Candidates must bring an Aadhaar Card/ Voter Card/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Driving License/ School Photo ID/Any other photo ID Card issued by the State/Central Government along with the admit card.

Candidates must follow instructions issued by UPSC to avoid disqualification

• Carry a printed copy of NDA 1 admit card along with valid photo ID proof. Entry without these documents will not be allowed
• Late entry to exam hall is prohibited. Gates will be closed well before NDA 1 exam begins
• Wear simple and comfortable clothing
• Do not carry mobile phones smartwatches calculators Bluetooth devices or any electronic gadgets
• They must use black ballpoint pen to mark answers

The selection process consists if the written exam, SSB Interview, Medical Examination and Final Merit List. The total marks for the NDA exam allotted is 1800 out of which written exam is of 900 marks and SSB is of 900 marks.
