The MoU between Amity University Online and Hockey India aims to provide educational opportunities to hockey players at the international, national and state levels.

Amity University Online (AUO) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hockey India to provide broad possibilities for learning for hockey players on an international, national, and state level.  This partnership is a significant step forward in helping athletes' holistic development by allowing them to pursue higher education without compromising their athletic careers. The MoU was signed by Bhola Nath, Secretary General of Hockey India, and Ajit Chauhan, Chairman, Amity University Online, in the presence of Sekar J. Manoharan, Treasurer of Hockey India, along with senior officials at Amity University, Noida. 

The Secretary General of Hockey India praised the signing of the MoU and hopes for gold by the Women’s Hockey India team in the next World Cup and Olympics. The event also honoured the formal signing of Indian Women’s Hockey Team Captain Salima Tete and Defender Jyoti into Amity University Online’s Bachelor of Arts program. 

While Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President- Amity Education Group, said that the sportspersons will be provided with the educational opportunities by Amity University to help them building their careers. 

The scheme for scholarships is open to active Hockey India players at all levels, including district, state, national, and international.  Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com), Master of Business Administration (MBA), and a variety of other undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses are eligible for enrollment.

Hockey India's pioneering project is the first time a national sports organisation has built a comprehensive educational support system for athletes at all competitive levels, setting a new standard for holistic athlete development in Indian sports.
