DU Financial Support Scheme 2026-27: University of Delhi has announced Financial Support Scheme (FSS) 2026-27 to provide financial assistance to eligible students and help reduce their fee burden. Delhi University Financial Support Scheme has been announced by Dean Students’ Welfare (DSW), University of Delhi, as part of university’s efforts to support students from specified family-income categories.

Eligible students can submit their applications online through DSW website dsw.du.ac.in/financial-support-scheme. As per official FSS 2026-27 poster, last date for submission of online DU FSS application is October 13, 2026. The schedule for submitting hard/printed copy of completed application form along with required documents at DSW office will be announced separately on official website.

Who Can Apply for DU Financial Support Scheme 2026-27?

Delhi University’s Financial Support Scheme is open to full-time bonafide students enrolled in UG or PG programmes at a Department, Institute or Centre of the University of Delhi, subject to income and other eligibility conditions prescribed by university. The financial assistance is linked to annual family income of student. DU has divided eligible candidates into two income categories.

Who are not eligible for DU FSS 2026-27?

Delhi university has specified certain exclusions under the scheme. Students enrolled in Colleges, BTech programmes (excluding CIC), Five-Year Integrated Law Programme, School of Open Learning (SOL) and NCWEB are not eligible to apply under FSS 2026-27. Those who have an Essential Repeat (ER) in any previous exam are also not eligible for the Financial Support Scheme.

Documents Required for DU FSS Application

Students applying for DU FSS 2026-27 will have to keep these documents ready

• EWS/OBC-NCL certificate or annual family income certificate for the last financial year (2025-26), issued by the competent authority. Income certificates signed by a notary officer will not be accepted

• Self-attested copies of the latest Income Tax Returns (2025-26), if filed, for Father, Mother, Unmarried sister(s), Unmarried brother(s) below 25 years of age

• Self-attested copies of PAN cards of the above-mentioned family members

• Self-attested copy of the Undertaking Form in the prescribed format available on the DSW website

• Copy of the Bonafide Certificate duly signed by the Head/Director of the concerned Centre or Institute

• Self-attested copy of the marksheet of the last examination

• Self-attested copy of the latest fee receipt.

• Self-attested copy of the bank passbook showing the student's name, account number and IFSC code. The university has also specified conditions regarding cancelled-cheque/account details

How to Apply for DU Financial Support Scheme 2026-27?

Eligible students can apply through Financial Support Scheme link provided by Dean Students’ Welfare Office, University of Delhi. The university has provided the registration link through the official FSS announcement. Students should ensure that the information entered in the application form matches their supporting documents. They should also arrange the required income, academic, fee and bank documents before submitting the application.
