JAIN University, Zambia forge educational partnership at National Youth Indaba

During the National Youth Indaba Event held on March 15, 2024, in Lusaka, the capital city of the Republic of Zambia, Dr. Chenraj Roychand, Chancellor of JAIN (Deemed-to-be-University), engaged in a productive dialogue with the President of the Republic of Zambia, Hakainde Hichilema.

Dr. Roychand and President Hichilema shared their vision of youth empowerment through specific courses and various skill development programs in which Dr. Roychand elaborated on JAIN University offering niche programs designed to meet the evolving aspirations of the students. Dr. Roychand also highlighted the potential for Zambian students to pursue higher education and job opportunities in India.

Dr. Roychand said, "The meeting with the Honorable President of Zambia was highly fruitful. We discussed fostering knowledge and cultural exchange between our countries and addressing the skill requirements of Indian graduates in Zambia and vice versa. This will empower the youth from both sides to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world where JAIN University will contribute its crucial part by offering its distinctive and skill-based programs dedicated to meeting the needs of young, vibrant students”.

The event was attended by over two thousand young people. It is an annual event aimed at harnessing the thoughts and views of the young people on how to leverage an enhanced coordinated multi-sectoral approach in a Youth Development Strategy to achieve inclusive and effective Youth Empowerment and Employment Opportunities across the country, as reported by Zambianobserver.
