JNU to hold 7th Convocation on February 2; Know Details

Jawaharlal Nehru University is all set to organise its 7th Convocation on February 2, 2024, in physical/offline mode to confer Ph.D degree (s) to all eligible Ph.D students who have completed/would be completing Ph.D Programme during the period from January 16, 2023, to January 15, 2024, and have not been issued Ph.D degree.

The candidates must register on the official website latest by January 25, 2024.

"All eligible Ph.D students are required to register for the Convocation on payment of INR 1200 as registration fee, at the registration portal jnu.ac.in/convocation from January 10, 2024, to January 25, 2024," reads JNU's statement.

All the Deans of the Schools, Chairpersons of Special Centres and Centres of the School of Studies are requested to sent the list of all eligible Ph.D students of their schools/special centres/centres of the school of studies alongwith the names (s) of their supervisors, date of viva-voice and title of the doctoral thesis of eligible Ph.D students to the Evaluation Branch by January 10, 2024, for further necessary action, added JNU's statement.

The university also requested to ensure that 'No Dues Certificate' should be submitted by the eligible Ph.D students. Each degree recipient has to pay a registration fee of Rs. 1200/- through online mode. Students are requested to upload their recent photographs during registration (suggested dress code: whites).

JNU: Registration for Winter Semester 2024 started

The registration commenced on January 8, 2024, in the physical mode and it will continue till January 12, 2024. Registration beyond January 12 to Feb 2, 2024, will be done with the payment of applicable late fine. Those who are unable to register for valid reasons may apply for registration later and their request will be considered.
