UGC Scholarship Scheme 2020 application date extended until November 30

UGC Scholarship Scheme 2020 Application Dates Extended: According to the latest update, University Grants Commission (UGC) has decided to extend the application dates for UGC Scholarship Scheme 2020 until November 30, 2020. Students must note that only those candidates can avail of the PG Scholarships who are eligible. Eligible students can register for the same through the official website of the National Scholarship Portal, i.e. scholarships.gov.in. To confirm the development, UGC released a detailed notification, which provides all the necessary details about the scholarships. Before registering for the scholarship, eligible candidates are advised to read the detailed notification for scholarships online via the official website ugc.ac.in. 

Application Dates Extended for 4 Scholarship Scheme

According to the official notification released by UGC, the commission extended the scholarship scheme for four schemes. The schemes for which UGC extended the registration dates include:

1. Indira Gandhi PG Scholarship for Single Girl Child (SCG)
2. PG Scholarship for University Rank Holders Candidates (URH)
3. Ishan Uday Special Scheme for North Eastern Region (NER)
4. PG Scholarship for Professional Courses for SC / ST candidates (PGSPROF)

The notification states that the university scholarship registration portal is open since September 1, 2020, and students can submit their application for registration until November 30, 2020. On similar lines, the closing date for verification of applications by institutions is 15^th December 2020. Eligible institutions are also advised to verify the applications of their students immediately after receiving the applications on Portal.
