Ukraine returned medicos relocating to Uzbekistan

While the Supreme Court hearing on a plea by Ukraine returned medical students to continue their education in India is scheduled for hearing on November 1, Uzbekistan universities have started accommodating these students.
“At the request of the Indian government, Uzbekistan’s medical higher educational institutes (MHEIs) of the ministry of health of Ukraine are providing 2,000 seats to relocate Indian medical students from Ukraine with quality education by accepting the erstwhile MCI and NMC norms (screening test regulations 2002) and Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate (FMGL Regulations 2021),” he said, as reported by Deccan Chronicle.
"Uzbekistan stands out in international medical education by offering two undergraduate medical programmes to Indians - 6 years MD Diploma and 5+1 years MBBS Degree with a one-year Internship. To prepare students for the FMGE/NEXT exam, the university has a large modern infrastructure, a large number of teaching beds in associated government hospitals and clinics, and 30 per cent Indian and international professors with supplementary training," he added, as reported by Gulf News.
Dr B. Divya Raj Reddy, Director of NEO Institute and the Indian representative to MHEIs of Uzbekistan, said that the move comes after thorough research. Also, she added that the fee structure was similar to that of Ukraine.
In India, the related case is still pending in the top court of the country, and many students are feeling dejected now and even going back to the war-torn country Ukraine to rejoin their courses.
