Union Education Minister invites President Ram Nath Kovind to attend virtual conference on implementation of NEP
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has invited President Ram Nath Kovind for a virtual programme - Visitors Conference on the Implementation of National Education Policy (NEP 2020) to be held on September 19.
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has invited President Ram Nath Kovind for a virtual programme - Visitors Conference on the Implementation of National Education Policy (NEP 2020) that is scheduled on September 19, 2020. The Union Minister while thanking the President tweeted that "President Ram Nath Kovind thank you for your guidance in the Governor’s Conference’ and National Teacher Award 2020. He further added that on the occasion the President was also invited for the virtual programme of the Visitor’s Conference on the Implementation of National Education Policy to be conducted on September 19, 2020.
The Vice Chancellors from Central Universities, directors of Indian Institutes of Technology, Indian Institutes of Information Technology, National Institute of Technology, Indian Institutes of Management from across the country are likely to participate in the programme and have also paved the way for the implementation of the new National Education Policy.
Recently, the government has conducted the Governor's Conference on the National Education Policy. The event was attended by the education ministers from all the states along with the state and Central University's Vice-chancellors and other senior officials.
The Prime Minister who has also inaugurated the conference stated that the NEP is not just incorporated to change the education system but also gives new friction to the social and economic aspects of the country. The NEP will also help in shaping and strengthening a self-reliant India.
The authorities have asked that the National Education Policy be implemented in the country by 2022. During the virtual conclave on School Education in the 21st Century, Prime Minister had said that NEP has sown the seeds for a new India and is a new beginning for the students, parents, teachers and they must ensure that the implementation of the NEP is taken up effectively.
