A day after being inducted into Prime Minister Narendra Modi Cabinet, newly appointed Education and Skill Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan made his first statement on Twitter. He virtually interacted with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the directors of IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras and IIT Kanpur on his first day.

A day after being inducted into Prime Minister Narendra Modi Cabinet, newly appointed Education and Skill Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan made his first statement on Twitter.

Pradhan, along with three MoS Ministry of Education, Annpurna Devi, Subhas Sarkar and Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, interacted with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the directors of premier technical institutes such as the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, on his first day on Thursday. Soon after the meeting, he took charge of the Ministry of Education.

On his Twitter handle, Pradhan wrote, “With the introduction of #NEP, the Indian education system has taken a giant leap in fostering an environment for a future-ready 21st century India. We are committed to make students and youth the primary stakeholders in propelling India towards an equitable knowledge society.” 

He wrote, “It is a matter of immense pride that PM @narendramodi has entrusted me and the new team with the important responsibility of working on the education, skill development & entrepreneurship landscape as well as on encouraging research & innovation for India’s unhindered progress.”

He also tweeted, “I am confident that under the guidance of PM Shri @narendramodi and the support of our academic institutions, we will continue to set new benchmarks in integrating education with employment & making it more inclusive, holistic, multi-disciplinary and at par with global standards.” 

As many as 43 MPs took oath as ministers in first mega Cabinet expansion by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday.
