Delhi government schools are going digital in terms of attendance. According to the latest reports, on March 12, 2020, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia announced that Delhi government schools will have "zero paper attendance" from April 1 onwards.
During a meeting of officials of the Directorate of Education to outline the further plan of action, the Deputy CM stated that the zero paper attendance practice will be implemented in Delhi government schools from April 1. While talking about digitalization, he urged others not to have arrogance while sharing their ideas and practices with others. The recognition that Delhi government schools are getting after changing its education module is something that should be shared. As people from other states and regions are reaching out to learn the methods that Delhi government schools are opting to improve its education module, the Deputy CM urged officials to help understand others, pick ideas from other countries and states, about the same in order to strengthen their education mode.
While talking about the installation of CCTV cameras in schools and classrooms, the AAP leader asked the officials to keep track of the installation of CCTV cameras at schools and classrooms. He stated that every deputy director should keep a track of the number of CCTV cameras installed in the schools within their zone. The functionality of the cameras should be checked on a regular basis and they should be informed if the passwords have been provided to the parents or not. He further added that passwords must be provided to the parents of the classrooms where CCTVs are installed. This will help them access the classes of their wards.
