Sujit Kumar of Ranchi could not get admission his desired college. Read more to know why.

I am Sujit Kumar from Ranchi. I got first division in class 12th state board and I thought it was enough to get me a good college in Ranchi but I was wrong. Soon CBSE board results were announced, the highest marks touched 99% in CBSE and my heart sank. I thought my chances of getting a good college were gone. But my friends consoled me and I said the colleges will take in state board students after those who passed from CBSE boards.

With a heart full of hope, I went to check college admissions on the first day. I went to a government college but the seats were already filled by CBSE students. State board students don’t get admission in good colleges. Why does this happen? Why state board students are always behind CBSE students?

When first merit list was released my name was not on the list but I didn’t feel bad. But when even after 3rd and 4th list my name did not appear on the list I was disappointed. Many seats were vacant but corrupt college authorities did not take admission. They sought bribe from students for giving admission.

Finally, I got admission in B Sc Maths Honours in Marwari College. Currently I am in my first year and college life is new to me.
